SCENE 1:
Bait’s figure is silhouetted as she changes. Switch messages someone on the computer.
BAIT
Pwetty, pwease!
SWITCH
No!
One of Bait’s garments flies over the screen and hits Switch in the face.
INT. ABANDONED WAREHOUSE - LATER
Switch works on new gadgets as Bait plays with dolls that represent her personalities, a ’Kelly’ barbie doll and a modified ’Ken’ barbie doll, dressed as a trucker.
BAIT
Switch, will you tell me now?
SWITCH
NO! I’m not telling you any of it!
BAIT
Fine, but Gracie is in meltdown
mode. Do you really wanna risk
that?
SWITCH
Bring it on...
Bait wails like a child as Switch puts on big head phones. Bait’s posture and gait is that of a five year old as she walks over to Switch and plops down on the floor crying.
INT. ABANDONED WAREHOUSE - LATER
Bait brings dinner over to Switch along with hers. She places the plate in front of Switch. Bait sits and stares at Switch as she eats.
SWITCH
(food in her mouth)
What?
BAIT
Ipoisonedyourfood.
Bait covers her mouth like she just told a juicy secret. Switch stops chewing.
SWITCH
You didn’t...
BAIT
I don’t know. But if you want the
antidote, I could use a story...
Switch spits her food onto her plate.
SWITCH
You did all this just to know who
the damn hero is?
BAIT
Yup! So spill, you don’t know what
kind of time you have. Give me all
the dirty details between you
and...
SWITCH
I can’t believe you! You really
fucking poisoned me!? You’re
insane, you know that?
BAIT
Tell me something I don’t know.
SWITCH
Fuck you for this.
BAIT
So how’d you meet
what’s-her-bucket?
SWITCH
Her name is Black Charlotte or as I
like to call her, Captain Ex. We
met in college...

SCENE 2:
ALEASHA
So, how’d you guys meet?
CHARLOTTE
She came to the salon I work at. I
actually did her hair.
Charlotte parts her hair revealing the whole hot-blue side.
ALEASHA
Holy shit! That’s amazing.
CHARLOTTE
Thanks. How long have you guys been
friends?
ALEASHA
We dormed together freshmen year
and have ever since. Do you date a
lot of college girls like Karen?
CHARLOTTE
No, I’m working at the salon and
training to be a stylist.
ALEASHA
You must get hit on a lot.
CHARLOTTE
Not really. Karen’s the first in a
long time. She gave me this
necklace when we first started
dating.
She shows Aleasha the necklace with a single purple crystal on the chain.
CHARLOTTE
My ex cheated on me.
INT. MUSEUM - DAY
ALEASHA (V.O.)
I’m sorry. That really sucks.
CHARLOTTE (V.O.)
I can’t imagine why she did it...
Aleasha, Karen and Charlotte look at a painting. Aleasha grabs Charlotte’s arm to show her something across the room. Karen, who was still looking at the painting, suddenly notices they’re gone and runs over to join them.
INT. CHARLOTTE’S APARTMENT
ALEASHA (V.O.)
She was lonely.
CHARLOTTE (V.O.)
Have you ever cheated?
ALEASHA (V.O.)
No. I don’t believe in stealing
someone’s heart.
Charlotte pulls out her phone with a text message from Karen that reads: ’Working tonight, I’m sorry. Raincheck?’ She texts Karen back: ’Yeah, sure...’ Charlotte scrolls through her phone and sends Aleasha a text to hang out. Charlotte looks unsure of what she just did.
INT. CHARLOTTE’S APARTMENT - ANOTHER DAY
ALEASHA (V.O.)
Things can be stolen but hearts
shouldn’t be so easily swayed.
CHARLOTTE (V.O.)
That’s almost poetic.
Aleasha and Charlotte are playing Scrabble and laughing at their own make-believe words.
INT. CHARLOTTE’S APARTMENT - ANOTHER DAY
ALEASHA (V.O.)
Were you in love with her? Your ex,
I mean.
CHARLOTTE (V.O.)
I was. She had the fucking nerve to
ask if we could talk after we broke
up. I didn’t want to give her the
time of day, and I didn’t.
Charlotte sits on the couch. She looks at her phone, an outgoing message reads: ’We still on for tonight?’ No reply. A second later, a reply from Karen comes in: ’Sorry, had to take a shift. Raincheck?’ Charlotte types back: ’Okay.’ Charlotte slumps on the couch and peruses her phone until she clicks on Aleasha’s name.
INT. CHARLOTTE’S APARTMENT - ANOTHER DAY
ALEASHA (V.O.)
You didn’t trust her.
CHARLOTTE (V.O.)
Would you?
ALEASHA (V.O.)
I don’t trust anyone.
CHARLOTTE (V.O.)
Why?
Aleasha and Charlotte watch a sad movie. They both reach for the tissue box on the table. They look at each other for a moment before Charlotte quickly grabs a tissue and looks back to the movie. They both steal glances at each other.
INT. BAR/CLUB - NIGHT
ALEASHA (V.O.)
I’ve never known anyone I could or
wanted to trust.
CHARLOTTE (V.O.)
You must be lonely.
ALEASHA (V.O.)
You have no idea...
Charlotte and Aleasha sit at the bar. They both take a shot. Karen comes over to the bar and they all take another shot together. Aleasha grabs Charlotte’s hand and they run to the dance floor. They dance very closely. Karen stares at them, looking pissed and slamming her drink.
